Legacy Exploration Renews Sponsorship of Katie Burnett, LPGA Golfer

Legacy Exploration LLC, a Dallas-based oil and gas firm, announced on Monday, November 2, 2015 that it will continue their sponsorship of LPGA TOUR® golf professional Katie Burnett. The sponsorship will include the Legacy Exploration logo gracing Ms. Burnett’s collar.

About Katie Burnett

Katie turned professional in June of 2012, gained full status on the Ladies European Tour, and partial status on the LPGA in December for the 2013 season. Once halfway through the year on the LPGA, she earned full status and finished that season in the top 100 on the money list. Katie played in 7 events on the Ladies European Tour with finishes in the Top 5 three times and ended that season in the Top 40 on the money list.

When Katie turned professional in June of 2012 she won her first professional event, Michigan Women's Open, by 10 strokes. Katie also qualified for the 2012 U.S. Women's Open at Black Wolf Run.  Katie was the winner of the Second Stage of LPGA Qualifying School by six strokes shooting 15 under par.  She also competed in the Ladies European Tour Qualifying School and finished in 9th place.

In 2014, her first full season on the LPGA Tour, Katie earned her first Top 10 finish in Hawaii at the Lotte Championship.
